1.
Silence 01:46
My fingers are trembling, this winter is old, and my love has gone But I walk in faith, I’m never alone, I know you’ll come back All this time sing hallelujah All this time I found We awake in the silence We awake in the silence
2.
For the love, for the love, for the love you got me movin’ Ain’t no one ain’t no one ain’t no other I’d be choosing Let my heart let my heart let my heart oh I’ll let it closer For the one for the one for the one that’s mine forever  Ooh, ooh, ooh this ain’t a mystery My heart is beatin, my hands are shakin You know we got it, somethin fine You're not playing games, no,  you're not trying to change me You know we got it, something fine Every day, every day, every day I’m fallin faster For the love, for the love, for the love that I been after And I run, and I run to you because our stride is easy You’re the one, you’re the one, you’re the one, it’s love I’m feelin
3.
Glowing 03:28
With the glamour on the line Traveling hearts, bloom on sight Peering through mirror haze Bearing down former days All these daydreams living You’re an honest smile, without lies All these daydreams living With only you I come alive Rich, poor, sad or laughing Jeans, dress, crying or dancing It feels like we’re floating Because babe you’re glowing, yeah, babe you’re glowing Walking off hollow words Forward now, not turning back Warm is all I am with you Closing heart wounds I've wrapped Rich, poor, sad or laughing Jeans, dress, crying or dancing It feels like we’re floating Because babe you’re glowing, yeah, babe you’re glowing Singing, talking, sleeping No matter what you’re feeling Lord knows that we’re floating Cuz babe you’re glowing, yeah, babe you’re glowing
4.
Colorado 03:45
Every step, every mirage I’m floating, I’m floating, thinking of you Caught the sunlight, let it soak Every drop, the glow gave me hope ‘Cause you are my Colorado, Colorado Yeah, you are my Colorado  Now I’m breathing in slow motion This endless glow I’m feeling Now I’m breathing in slow motion, you and I We’ll never need another reason Welcome breath, fog on our lips The red rocks, our red rocks, sunrise waking Ditch the city, our losses Careful now, to not be cautious
5.
We can move slower still, let the moon catch up with us We won’t let the dew arise before we let our sense run out I gave it my all, and I hid what was left but now I turn I finally let, let my heart grow again I finally let, you in I finally let, let my heart grow again I finally let, you in I’m a mess, it’s clear as day But for some reason, you stuck with me anyway And your voice, and your love cut through the storm And I don’t wake up, in pieces no more Oh I gave it my all, and I hid what was left but now I turn, now I
6.
Voices, breathing out our choices And I’ve been absent Mind and all, my habits Mind and all, my habits We’re cold Decide for me, make up my mind and honestly I’m partial to the moon But you took off way too soon Way too soon Way too soon And I want to fight it off I want to come around We can stand amiss, stand I bet my heart and you cashed in, in on the break
7.
Smoke 03:35
Colors, sullen, caring along the moments Daring our conscience, and ever the loss Golden, the coast, always to fold the march Bury the drift, laying down, dormant So run close, our eyes are wider, when we Make a toast, and head out, head out west, we’re Driving fast, before the sun comes up Our grounded past, will have to live in smoke Waiting for a sign I’ve got only one thing On my mind, to leave it behind Alarm set for five, feels like a crime But It runs in our blood, the will to keep moving No more anthems, and no more embers No more questions, til we live surrendered
8.
The Script 04:24
Driving late, along the riverside Listen close, while you spill your heart I’ll say again and again, he ain’t worth your time I know your love is out there, he’ll treat you right Holding hands, during the horror flick Drive in’s packed, but all I see is you Of course, just as friends, we share a blanket We’ll help each other find love, that’s just what we do And when I felt my heart race, told myself no, it’s nothing, be calm And yeah, we’d often embrace, but she’d never be blushing at all We could never be, because we’ve never been How could we risk what we’ve got, we’re the best of friends We could never be, because we’ve never been That’s not the script we’ve etched, we’re only friends You know I always said I want the best for you She said, “now you can write your own half of the script.” I saw the photos in color, in black and white I could see it in your eyes, the best day of your life And when the rice was thrown and all your guests had gone Wish I had burnt that script and we’d written our own And when I felt my heart race, told myself no, it’s nothing, be calm And yeah, we’d often embrace, but she’d never be blushing at all If I had a half a lifetime, to rewrite the text I would Cause I know deep down you feel the same way, or at least you could have
9.
The writing on the wall Clear as day, we know  Sketching out our chance To walk from fool’s gold A diamond in the dust  I can breathe it out I can see it through I can let my doubt Fade away with you The film, the verse, it all Spotlight, dress it up Up 35, til dawn Crossing borders, hearts
10.
I couldn’t bear to say what I knew I had to say But I’m a stronger soul, stronger soul, I’m a stronger soul than yesterday And if your eyes can leave me such a glow Could I evade my emotion vertigo And absent, my sleep, don’t count us out Forgo the pain at sundown
11.
Dry Land 05:15
Quilted, when the willows shed And the rivers whisper us to sleep Fallen, when your heart heals And the light breaks, and the light speaks to us And the light breaks, and the light speaks to us We’ll raise a house We’ll raise a home We’ll store our love, we’ll build our trust We’ll build a life on your courage Always on dry land Daylight, hold my head And the waves clap, moving us to breathe Fallen, when your heart heals I’m waiting dear, I’ll wait, I’ll let you grieve I’m waiting dear, I’ll wait, I’ll let you grieve My mind opened, I dove in your touch Got carried away, buried alive in your love My heart opened, I dove in your touch Got carried away, buried alive in your love

Atwood Magazine premiere, with a track-by-track synopsis → bit.ly/EmotionVertigoPremiere

The four and half years of writing the album Emotion Vertigo were far from a smooth process for us. I was in a seemingly endless creative funk, and considered the idea of calling it quits on the project entirely. There was a turning point when I stepped back and realized I had let worries and insecurities of what Bora York “should or shouldn’t look like” take priority.

This process of ups and downs led to the creation of a collection of songs spanning an entire spectrum of emotion, thus giving the album title, Emotion Vertigo, its place. It was a passionate step back to what it’s all about - the music.
