Darren McDonald I really enjoy the sophistication in the songwriting and sound without you realizing it is so. This gives a chilled-out soundscape and space that invites you into the song. I first heard this in Starbucks and the staff looked up the name of the artist for me. This album will be one of the soundtracks for when I am trying to contemplate and write up my research. It sets the exact right mood. :) Great work! :) Favorite track: Open Tales.

jlknoir There is literally not a single song I don't like on this album. Everything about it is beautiful. It all has depth and emotion along with just an original feel to it. Bora York is amazing! Favorite track: Close Your Eyes.

1.
She said we've got to persevere As she handed me the keys We ran from our yesteryear As we drove into a new dawn Close your, your eyes Close your, your eyes She said, "I feel so hollow tonight" And stitches will only last for awhile Our sails are torn but our anchor's light We don't have to, we don't have to, we don't have to drag this out, drag this out Close your, your eyes Close your, your eyes While the night is cold and it's easy to let hope die In the morning, we'll watch God paint the sky And we'll know the fog will burn away
2.
Open Tales 03:35
Under the swampy glow With glossy green, prairie tide It's where our goodwill painted its own Our clothes held us tight Closer, closer, you were close to me When our hearts painted their own Over northern hills, our cryptic tales breed the script Darling, don't forget our clasp in the stairwell Untouched, a city froze We felt the wind in our bones That's when we left our dreams, we left them alone Under gleaming Aprils, our open tales, tell our love story Darling, don't forget the words that gave us breath
3.
It was spelled out so quickly in the sticks and the leaves I always wanted you to be a part of my dreams We kept playing loud, we kept playing loud To the tune of love They said we were crazy, they said we were fools They said we would lose our minds, but we knew they were blind We fight with a whisper As New England lingers We fight with a whisper And in this flood, we'll find each other
4.
Remaining 01:57
5.
Waves 04:06
We must've missed our stop, we're miles away The sky's colorblind, we lost track of our days Through all these years, you've still got my ears So far away and yet so near These colors, these patters Have left us battered But these waves, they carry on These timeless heartbeats won't fade away 'Cause these waves they carry on and on and on Without a pallette's eyes, without a blinding stage It's a foggy view, and it's held hostage Laid on a dream, never step on me But all eternity knew that's what we need Oh, we all knew that's what we needed
6.
Ghost Lights 04:41
Years upon years had us questioning Was this for real of just glistening Step inside my heart, he said So you can rip it apart Don't step on our love, she said Look how far we've come Oh, now we can highlight our new life Oh, when we left behind these ghost lights We left it poisoned, we left in the night With sleep unfolded, under ghost lights
7.
So Heavenly 04:12
Waving farewell to the oldest sight A foggy feeling, dead emotion's eyes On top of the world, as teenagers' might It's only foreign if we're proud and desolate Wasting away, this shell, this cage The weight of glory beyond compromise Though a broken soul, a dead man's days You're worth more than angels, you're made alive We were laid to waste so suddenly, so suddenly, so suddenly As as quickly pardoned to live so heavenly, so heavenly As cloudy and worn as ancient tales Yet as clear as daylight, this amazing grace
8.
Waterfall 04:16
This waterfall may be unwarranted This perfect rain unseen, so beautiful Of dwelling shades, blushes, void of despair Of emerald souls, peaceful, with every word But I'll dive in
9.
Dusty shelf in a closet's dusk The only question haunting her Tattered scarf, intently drab The only question haunting her What could have been
10.
Lemoncholy 01:32
11.
When the water's edge is cool Brushing lightly between your toes When you close your eyes and rest them for a moment's time And you know you're home Don't wake me I'm dreaming free, I'm dreaming free to no amends Don't break it, this perfect scene, where love is worth the fight When winter's burden shows its teeth And tears your autumn clothes apart I'll take you by the hand, we'll flee the world that left you sad I won't forget your broken heart Don't wake me, I'm dreaming free, I'm dreaming free to no amends Don't break it, this perfect scene, where love is worth the fight
